Who Can Refer

We accept referrals from:

  • General Practitioners, other Medical/Dental Specialists, Sports Doctors, Physiotherapists, Sports Trainers, and Coaches


These referrals are eligible for Medicare Rebates and are valid for 12 months from date of referral.


We also accept referrals from Medical Specialists. These referrals are eligible for Medicare Rebates and are valid for 3 months from date of referral.

Argus Referral Process

Our team takes pride in ensuring the referral process to our practice is a seamless experience. Referrals can be sent via Argus to rajesh84@argus.net.au (preferred)

  1. Please ask patient to contact us on (02) 64926013 if they would like to arrange an appointment
  2. If you would like us to contact the patient, please indicate on the referral.

Our Availability & Hours

Off-site reception service by Hoxton is available on 64926013 between 9 am to 5 PM ,Monday to Friday, except Public Holidays. On site reception is available on Consulting days only.

Consultation days are Mondays and Wednesdays except when Dr.Rajesh is covering trauma and emergencies at SERH.

Semi-Urgent Referrals

Semi-Urgent patients will be seen as soon as possible. If using a Fax or Email, please highlight your communication as Semi-URGENT.


Urgent Patients with fractures or joint sepsis are best served by discussing with the On-call Orthopaedic team on (02) 6491 9999.

As you are no doubt aware, I have always been happy to be contacted directly by referring Doctors in case of any doubts. Using various channels of communication where possible we seek to enable our referrers to ask questions about specific cases either before a referral or during their care.


If you need to speak to me for any reason please call or email the practice. Our staff will either contact me immediately or provide you with my mobile number or personal email address.


Please be aware that I may be operating and hence may not be able to answer immediately. However, I will always get back to you as soon as I can.

After Hours Contact

Please contact South East Regional Hospital on (02)6491 9999 and ask to speak to the Orthopaedic registrar on call who will be able to either advice you or if needed contact me.

To avoid miscommunications please let us know if your details have changed including Practice Locations, Telephone, Email, Mobile, or any other relevant information.

Urgent Referral Form

Common Questions 

  • How long does it take to get an appointment?

    We will see most patients within 4-6 weeks of referral. Please discuss with me if you think a particular patient needs to be seen quicker than usual.

  • Does the practice bulk bill?

    There is an initial consultation fee to see our doctors in the consulting rooms .There are reduced rates for patients above 70 years. There are NO Bulk billed appointments. Instalment plans can be setup by discussion with reception.

  • Do we provide GP Education sessions?

    Yes, I am happy to be involved in GP education sessions. Please contact Practice manager if interested.

  • What investigations are required for patients with a diagnosis of arthritis of the hip,knee or shoulder?

    Please arrange xrays for all patients as these are useful to arrive at a diagnosis. Ultrasound scan is useful for shoulder problems and conditions like bursitis, trigger finger or carpal tunnel syndrome. CT and MRI scans are useful only in specific situations, and I will arrange for these as needed after seeing the patient.
